  8.     This configuration operates using floating DTE rate since, except
  9.     at V23, the WS3000 makes no provision for speed buffering.
  10.  
  11.     The configuration fully supports V23 for incoming and outgoing
  12.     calls.  Outgoing 1200 calls will normally be placed at V22
  13.     (to place outgoing V23 calls, set S26=10).
  14.  
  15.     For host operation, the modem has to be in autoanswer mode since
  16.     this modem fails to speed seek when the ATA command is given,
  17.     even if the speed seek register (S24) is set to a non-zero value.
  18.     This can mean that the modem continues to answer the phone ad
  19.     nauseum if for any reason GT or the PC crashes, but there seems
  20.     to be no alternative.
